The East Marshall Mustangs baseball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings to 4 in the Mustangs non-league win on Friday.

The Mustangs now own a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Union for a non-league test on Monday, June 23. East Marshall will clash with a Knights team coming off a 11-8 league win over Jesup (Jesup, IA). The Knights record now stands at 8-7.

With the defeat, Vinton-Shellsburg drops to 3-14 on the year. The Vikings host Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league test on Monday, June 23. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 11-9.
