The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Grinnell Tigers (Grinnell, IA) and the visiting Marshalltown Bobcats (Marshalltown, IA), observed Grinnell's softball team prevail over Marshalltown by a tally of 9-1.

The Tigers (18-3) will now prepare for their bout against Independence (Independence, IA). The Mustangs go into the non-league bout with a 4-18 record. In their last bout, Independence was routed by Edgewood-Colesburg (Edgewood, IA), 3-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Bobcats clash with the West Marshall Trojans (State Center, IA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, June 21. Marshalltown will attempt to advance on its 8-12 season record.
