In Tuesday's non-league contest, the West Monona Spartans (Onawa, IA) softball team held off the visiting Griswold Tigers (Griswold, IA), by a margin of 4-3.
With the triumph, West Monona moves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Spartans travel to AHSTW (Avoca, IA) to play the Vikings in a non-league contest on Monday, June 27. The Vikings come into the contest with a record of 6-2.
In their next game, the Tigers play the Audubon Wheelers (Audubon, IA) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, June 29. Griswold will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record.
