Iowa High School Softball - Newell-Fonda bounces South Central Calhoun

The Newell-Fonda Mustangs routed the host South Central Calhoun Titans softball squad by a count of 17-1 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Mustangs (19-5) will now prepare for their battle against Sioux Central (Sioux Rapids, IA). The Rebels go into the non-league battle with a 15-4 record. In their last battle, Sioux Central topped East Sac County (Lake View, IA), 11-10, in a non-league battle.

The Titans now sport a 1-11 record. They play next when they travel to Southeast Valley for a non-league battle on Friday, June 23. South Central Calhoun will encounter a Jaguars team coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Iowa Falls-Alden (Iowa Falls, IA). The Jaguars record now stands at 8-5.
