The Wapsie Valley Warriors baseball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Alburnett Pirates to 8 in the Warriors non-league victory on Friday.
The Warriors (24-6) will now prepare for their match against Cascade (Cascade, IA). The Cougars go into the non-league match with a 3-7 record.
The Pirates (20-9) will now prepare for their match against Edgewood-Colesburg (Edgewood, IA). The Vikings go into the non-league match with a 4-13 record. In their last match, Edgewood-Colesburg gained a win over Prince of Peace Prep (Clinton, IA), 6-5, in a non-league match.
