Central DeWitt (DeWitt, IA) fans left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Notre Dame Nikes (Burlington, IA), 17-4 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Central DeWitt advances its record to 8-9 on the season. The travel to Davenport North (Davenport, IA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league match on Monday, June 23. The Wildcats come into the match with a record of 14-7.
The Nikes now have a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Williamsburg for a non-league match on Saturday, June 21. Notre Dame will battle a Raiders squad coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA). The Raiders record now stands at 5-12.
