The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Sergeant Bluff-Luton Warriors (Sergeant Bluff, IA) and the host Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA), observed Sergeant Bluff-Luton's softball team notch a victory over Denison-Schleswig by a final score of 10-1.

The Warriors (20-4) will now prepare for their bout against Sioux City East (Sioux City, IA). The Black Raiders go into the Missouri River bout with a 11-4 record. In their last bout, Sioux City East gained a win over Jefferson (Council Bluffs, IA), 10-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Monarchs battle the Clarinda Cardinals (Clarinda, IA) in a Hawkeye 10 bout, on Monday, June 23. Denison-Schleswig will attempt to better on its 6-13 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 17-6 record after their 10-0 non-league win over East Mills (Malvern, IA).
