The Eagle Grove Eagles triumphed over the host Northwood-Kensett Vikings softball squad by a count of 17-4 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Eagles play the West Bend-Mallard Wolverines (West Bend, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, June 24. Eagle Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record.
The Vikings (1-8) will now prepare for their challenge against North Butler (Greene, IA). The Bearcats enter the Top of Iowa-East challenge with a 9-8 record. In their last challenge, North Butler overcame Hampton-Dumont/CAL (Hampton, IA), 12-3, in a non-league challenge.
