The Winterset Huskies triumphed over the visiting Interstate 35 Roadrunners softball squad by a count of 8-3 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Huskies play the Ballard Bombers (Huxley, IA) in a Raccoon River challenge, on Monday, June 24. Winterset will attempt to upgrade on its 17-16 season record. The Bombers enter the challenge with a 7-16 record after their 2-1 league loss to A-D-M (Adel, IA).

The Roadrunners (9-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Indianola (Indianola, IA). The Indians enter the non-league challenge with a 13-13 record. In their last challenge, Indianola was routed by Norwalk (Norwalk, IA), 13-0, in a non-league challenge.
