The North Polk Comets the host Oskaloosa Indians softball squad by a count of 4-0 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Comets (27-3) will now prepare for their battle against Carlisle (Carlisle, IA). The Wildcats go into the Raccoon River battle with a 22-6 record. In their last battle, Carlisle nudged Regina (Iowa City, IA), 12-0, in a non-league battle.
The Indians now sport a 9-16 record. They play next when they host Newton for a non-league battle on Monday, June 24. Oskaloosa will meet a Cardinals squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Pella Christian (Pella, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 11-10.
