The North Polk Comets baseball team scored 16 runs and limited the host Des Moines Christian Lions to 1 in the Comets non-league victory on Friday.
The Comets (18-2) will now prepare for their match against Carlisle (Carlisle, IA). The Wildcats go into the non-league match with a 14-9 record. In their last match, Carlisle was overwhelmed by Ankeny (Ankeny, IA), 11-1, in a non-league match.
