In Friday's non-league outing, the visiting North Scott Lancers softball team scored a close 8-1 win over the Mt. Vernon Mustangs.
Coming up next, the Lancers encounter the Linn-Mar Lions (Marion, IA) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, June 24. North Scott will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Lions enter the outing with a 19-8 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Fort Dodge (Fort Dodge, IA).
The Mustangs (20-7) will now prepare for their outing against Mid-Prairie (Wellman, IA). The Golden Hawks enter the non-league outing with a 12-13 record. In their last outing, Mid-Prairie tipped West Liberty (West Liberty, IA), 5-0, in a non-league outing.
