The Cardinal Comets softball team scored 7 runs and held the host Mt. Pleasant Panthers to 3 in the Comets non-league win on Wednesday.

The Comets now possess a 8-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont for a South Central battle on Thursday, June 26. Cardinal will confront a Rockets team coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Pella (Pella, IA). The Rockets record now stands at 9-13.

With the loss, Mt. Pleasant moves to 5-20 on the season. The Panthers host Keokuk (Keokuk, IA) to confront the Chiefs in a Southeast battle on Thursday, June 26. The Chiefs come into the battle with a record of 2-18. Keokuk lost 14-1 in their recent non-league battle against Columbus (Columbus Junction, IA)
