In Monday's non-league contest, the West Monona Spartans (Onawa, IA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting AHSTW Vikings (Avoca, IA), by a margin of 11-3.

With the triumph, West Monona improves its record to 25-5 on the year. The Spartans travel to Woodbine (Woodbine, IA) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league game on Wednesday, June 28. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 20-6. Woodbine won 3-2 in their recent non-league game against Treynor (Treynor, IA)

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the IKM/Manning Wolves (Manning, IA) in a non-league game, on Friday, June 30. AHSTW will attempt to improve on its 13-17 season record.
