The West Delaware Hawks baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Monticello Panthers to 6 in the Hawks non-league win on Wednesday.
The Hawks now hold a 10-20 record. They take the field next when they host Mt. Vernon for a WaMaC-East test on Thursday, June 27. West Delaware will play a Mustangs team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over South Tama County (Tama, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 14-12.
With the defeat, Monticello drops to 11-10 on the year. The Panthers travel to Maquoketa (Maquoketa, IA) to play the Cardinals in a River Valley - South test on Thursday, June 27. The Cardinals go into the test with a record of 4-14.
