The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Newell-Fonda Mustangs (Newell, IA) and the host Kingsley-Pierson Panthers (Kingsley, IA), observed Newell-Fonda's softball team get by Kingsley-Pierson by a final score of 7-2.

The Mustangs (22-6) will now prepare for their bout against Humboldt (Humboldt, IA). The Wildcats go into the non-league bout with a 10-15 record. In their last bout, Humboldt was routed by St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA), 13-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Ridge View Raptors (Holstein, IA) in a Western Valley bout, on Thursday, June 27. Kingsley-Pierson will attempt to better on its 10-15 season record.
