The South Winneshiek Warriors (Calmar, IA) softball nipped the visiting Oelwein Huskies (Oelwein, IA), 5-4 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Warriors now sport a 16-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clayton-Ridge for a Upper Iowa outing on Monday, July 1. South Winneshiek will encounter a Eagles team coming off a 13-2 league loss to North Fayette Valley (West Union, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Oelwein moves to 8-16 on the season. The Huskies travel to Waukon (Waukon, IA) to encounter the Indians in a non-league outing on Monday, July 1. The Indians come into the outing with a record of 8-14.
