The Johnston Dragons (Johnston, IA) baseball trounced the visiting North Scott Lancers (Eldridge, IA), 11-1 in Friday's non-league challenge.

The Dragons now own a 17-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southeast Polk for a CIML challenge on Monday, June 30.

With the defeat, North Scott drops to 13-15 on the year. The Lancers travel to Dallas Center-Grimes (Dallas Center, IA) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 28. The Mustangs go into the challenge with a record of 15-8. Dallas Center-Grimes won 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Newton (Newton, IA)
