In Friday's non-league match, the host Akron-Westfield Westerners softball team scored a tight 8-2 win over the Lawton-Bronson Eagles.
The Westerners (16-2) will now prepare for their match against River Valley (Correctionville, IA). The Wolverines come into the non-league match with a 5-13 record.
