The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the West Marshall Trojans (State Center, IA) and the host Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks (Waverly, IA), observed West Marshall's softball team get by Waverly-Shell Rock by a tally of 4-3.

The Trojans (17-8) will now prepare for their bout against East Marshall (Le Grand, IA). The Mustangs go into the non-league bout with a 17-7 record.

In their next game, the Go-Hawks clash with the Kee Kee Hawks (Lansing, IA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, June 28. Waverly-Shell Rock will attempt to advance on its 12-5 season record. The Kee Hawks go into the bout with a 14-8 record after their 11-9 league loss to South Winneshiek (Calmar, IA).
