The Sigourney Savages crushed the host Central City Wildcats baseball team by a count of 13-4 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Savages now possess a 17-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Danville for a non-league bout on Saturday, July 1. Sigourney will face a Bears team coming off a 24-14 non-league loss to Central Lee (Donnellson, IA). The Bears record now stands at 2-16.
Next, the Wildcats face the Nashua-Plainfield Huskies (Nashua, IA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, July 1. Central City will attempt to move on its 5-18 season record. The Huskies enter the bout with a 14-7 record after their 17-7 non-league loss to North Fayette Valley (West Union, IA).
