Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Twin Cedars Sabers (Bussey, IA) and the host Albia Blue Demons (Albia, IA), witnessed Twin Cedars's softball squad tip Albia by a count of 7-5.
The Sabers now sport a 18-5 record. They play next when they host Lamoni for a non-league match on Thursday, June 29. Twin Cedars will meet a Demons squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Central Decatur (Leon, IA). The Demons record now stands at 11-11.
With the loss, Albia moves to 18-7 on the season. The Blue demons host Chariton (Chariton, IA) to meet the Chargers in a non-league match on Thursday, June 29. The Chargers go into the match with a record of 17-5. Chariton lost 6-0 in their recent non-league match against Davis County (Bloomfield, IA)
