The Hinton Blackhawks baseball team scored 5 runs and held the host Cherokee Washington Braves to 3 in the Blackhawks non-league win on Friday.
The Blackhawks now own a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they host Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute for a non-league test on Monday, July 1. Hinton will clash with a team coming off a 11-0 league loss to Lawton-Bronson (Lawton, IA). The record now stands at 6-16.
With the defeat, Cherokee Washington drops to 8-13 on the year. The Braves travel to Woodbury Central (Moville, IA) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league test on Tuesday, July 2. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 17-5.
