The West Monona Spartans overwhelmed the host Harlan Cyclones softball squad by a count of 11-0 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Spartans meet the Webster City Lynx (Webster City, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, June 29. West Monona will attempt to upgrade on its 26-5 season record. The Lynx go into the challenge with a 14-9 record after their 7-5 non-league loss to Eagle Grove (Eagle Grove, IA).
The Cyclones (3-27) will now prepare for their challenge against AHSTW (Avoca, IA). The Vikings go into the non-league challenge with a 14-8 record. In their last challenge, AHSTW toppled CAM (Anita, IA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
