The Storm Lake Tornadoes softball team scored 7 runs and held the host MOC-Floyd Valley Dutchmen to 2 in the Tornadoes non-league win on Friday.

The Tornadoes now sport a 18-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Monona for a non-league battle on Tuesday, July 2. Storm Lake will confront a Spartans team coming off a 8-2 non-league win over Webster City (Webster City, IA). The Spartans record now stands at 27-6.

With the loss, MOC-Floyd Valley moves to 14-7 on the season. The Dutchmen host Central Lyon (Rock Rapids, IA) to confront the Lions in a Siouxland battle on Monday, July 1. The Lions come into the battle with a record of 4-12. Central Lyon lost 10-3 in their recent league battle against Sheldon (Sheldon, IA)
