Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA) fans left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting North Fayette Valley (West Union, IA), 3-1 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Alburnett advances its record to 14-10 on the season. The Pirates host East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA) to battle the Buccaneers in a Tri-Rivers - West match on Monday, June 30. The Buccaneers come into the match with a record of 12-6.
The now have a 1-25 record. They play next when they travel to Edgewood-Colesburg for a non-league battle on Tuesday, July 1.
