The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Ankeny Hawks (Ankeny, IA) and the host North Scott Lancers (Eldridge, IA), saw Ankeny's baseball team gain a win over North Scott by a tally of 12-6.
The Hawks (9-19) will now prepare for their battle against Dowling Catholic (West Des Moines, IA). The Maroons enter the CIML battle with a 10-7 record. In their last battle, Dowling Catholic was overwhelmed by Indianola (Indianola, IA), 15-1, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Lancers face the Davenport West Falcons (Davenport, IA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, June 30. North Scott will attempt to upgrade on its 13-16 season record.
