The Hempstead Mustangs baseball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Bettendorf Bulldogs to 4 in the Mustangs non-league win on Saturday.
The Mustangs now own a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they host Xavier for a non-league test on Tuesday, July 2.
With the defeat, Bettendorf drops to 12-15 on the year. The Bulldogs host Clinton (Clinton, IA) to clash with the River Kings in a non-league test on Monday, July 1. The River Kings go into the test with a record of 4-23.
