In Friday's non-league challenge, the Waynedale Golden Bears (Apple Creek, OH) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting Hawken Hawks (Gates Mills, OH), by a final score of 8-2.
With the win, Waynedale upgrades its record to 27-4 on the season. The Golden Bears travel to Liberty Union (Baltimore, OH) to encounter the Lions in a non-league challenge on Thursday, June 9. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 26-5. Liberty Union won 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Fairland (Proctorville, OH)
