The Illini Bluffs Tigers (Glasford, IL) softball routed the visiting Newark Norsemen (Newark, IL), 8-3 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Tigers (17-2) will now prepare for their bout against Casey-Westfield (Casey, IL). The Warriors go into the non-league bout with a 38-1 record. In their last bout, Casey-Westfield held off Forreston (Forreston, IL), 4-0, in a non-league bout.
The Norsemen now possess a 31-4 record. They play next when they travel to Forreston for a non-league bout on Saturday, June 4. Newark will confront a Cardinals squad coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Casey-Westfield (Casey, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 22-5.
