In Saturday's non-league challenge, the St. Joseph Bears (St. Joseph, MI) baseball squad edged the visiting West Ottawa Panthers (Holland, MI), by a final score of 3-2.
With the win, St. Joseph upgrades its record to 17-16 on the season. The Bears travel to Zeeland East (Zeeland, MI) to encounter the Chix in a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 3. The Chix come into the challenge with a record of 35-3. Zeeland East lost 11-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Allendale (Allendale, MI)
With the defeat, West Ottawa falls to 16-19 on the season.
