The Grundy Center Spartans baseball team scored 7 runs and limited the host Dike-New Hartford Wolverines to 2 in the Spartans non-league victory on Monday.

The Spartans (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA). The Falcons come into the non-league challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, Aplington-Parkersburg got by Hudson (Hudson, IA), 2-1, in a league challenge.

With the defeat, Dike-New Hartford falls to 5-2 on the season. The Wolverines travel to South Hardin (Eldora, IA) to encounter the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, June 5. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 5-3. South Hardin won 5-0 in their recent non-league challenge against East Marshall (Le Grand, IA)
