Massachusetts High School Softball - Georgetown holds off Gateway Regional

The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Georgetown Royals (Georgetown, MA) and the visiting Gateway Regional Gators (Huntington, MA), saw Georgetown's softball squad nip Gateway Regional by a count of 8-6.

The Royals now sport a 12-6 record. They take the field next when they host Franklin County Tech for a non-league match on Saturday, June 8. Georgetown will face a Eagles squad coming off a 10-5 non-league win over Lenox Memorial (Lenox, MA). The Eagles record now stands at 20-3.

With the loss, Gateway Regional falls to 1-6 on the campaign.
