The Northwest Webster Cougars (Manson, IA) softball nipped the visiting South Central Calhoun Titans (Lake City, IA), 12-11 in Monday's league bout.

The Cougars (2-4) will now prepare for their bout against Sioux Central (Sioux Rapids, IA). The Rebels go into the non-league bout with a 7-1 record. In their last bout, Sioux Central held off Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire (Ruthven, IA), 12-1, in a non-league bout.
