In Wednesday's non-league test, the Howell Highlanders (Howell, MI) softball squad overwhelmed the host Mercy Marlins (Farmington Hills, MI), by a tally of 12-7.

Next, the Highlanders clash with the Lakeview Spartans (Battle Creek, MI) in a non-league test, on Saturday, June 6. Howell will attempt to advance on its 21-15 season record.

The Marlins (13-14) will now prepare for their test against Grosse Pointe North (Grosse Pointe, MI). The Norsemen go into the non-league test with a 5-12 record. In their last test, Grosse Pointe North was routed by Utica (Utica, MI), 5-0, in a non-league test.
