Iowa High School Softball - North Scott can't hold off Benton

The Benton Bobcats softball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting North Scott Lancers to 5 in the Bobcats non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Benton improves its record to 25-14 on the year. The Bobcats travel to Oelwein (Oelwein, IA) to clash with the Huskies in a non-league game on Thursday, July 6. The Huskies come into the game with a record of 11-15. Oelwein lost 5-4 in their recent non-league game against Jesup (Jesup, IA)
In their next game, the Lancers clash with the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks (Wellman, IA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, July 1. North Scott will attempt to improve on its 16-9 season record. The Golden Hawks come into the game with a 16-18 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Charles City (Charles City, IA).
