The Grinnell Tigers got by the visiting Centerville Big Reds/Redettes softball squad by a final score of 6-5 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Tigers (20-13) will now prepare for their battle against Iowa Falls-Alden (Iowa Falls, IA). The Cadets go into the non-league battle with a 2-18 record. In their last battle, Iowa Falls-Alden was edged by Humboldt (Humboldt, IA), 10-0, in a non-league battle.

The Big Reds/Redettes now possess a 11-16 record. They play next when they host Des Moines Christian for a non-league battle on Thursday, July 6.
