The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Bedford Bulldogs (Bedford, IA) and the visiting Underwood Eagles (Underwood, IA), saw Bedford's baseball team beat Underwood by a margin of 5-0.
The Bulldogs (21-5) will now prepare for their battle against Stanton (Stanton, IA). The Vikings enter the non-league battle with a 8-8 record. In their last battle, Stanton held off Sidney (Sidney, IA), 12-6, in a league battle.
Next, the Eagles face the Woodbury Central Wildcats (Moville, IA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, July 1. Underwood will attempt to improve on its 20-2 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 11-7 record after their 14-2 non-league loss to Martensdale-St. Mary's (Martensdale, IA).
