The Newman Catholic Knights triumphed over the visiting Estherville Lincoln Central Midgets baseball squad by a score of 8-1 in Monday's non-league outing.
Next up, the Knights battle the Roland-Story Norsemen (Story City, IA) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, July 1. Newman Catholic will attempt to advance on its 18-7 season record. The Norsemen come into the outing with a 16-6 record after their 6-3 non-league win over Prairie City-Monroe (Monroe, IA).
The Midgets (15-8) will now prepare for their outing against MOC-Floyd Valley (Orange City, IA). The Dutchmen come into the non-league outing with a 20-4 record. In their last outing, MOC-Floyd Valley was overwhelmed by Saydel (Des Moines, IA), 8-7, in a non-league outing.
