The Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA) baseball got by the host Pella Dutch (Pella, IA), 4-3 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Mustangs now own a 14-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central DeWitt for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, July 1.
With the defeat, Pella drops to 19-6 on the year. The Dutch travel to Grinnell (Grinnell, IA) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, July 1. The Tigers go into the challenge with a record of 12-14. Grinnell lost 8-3 in their recent league challenge against Benton (Van Horne, IA)
