In Friday's non-league game, the visiting St. Mary Gaels baseball team scored a tight 6-2 victory over the Newark Academy Minutemen.
The Gaels (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Morristown-Beard (Morristown, NJ). The Crimson go into the non-league match with a 2-3 record. In their last match, Morristown-Beard edged Hudson Catholic (Jersey City, NJ), 6-2, in a non-league match.
The Minutemen (1-6) will now prepare for their match against Millburn (Millburn, NJ). The Millers go into the non-league match with a 16-6 record. In their last match, Millburn edged West Morris Mendham (Mendham, NJ), 4-1, in a non-league match.
