The Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs got by the host Southeast Polk Rams softball squad by a count of 5-4 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Mustangs (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Pleasant Valley (Jacksonville, AL). The Raiders go into the non-league battle with a 24-17 record. In their last battle, Pleasant Valley was edged by Ohatchee (Ohatchee, AL), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

The Rams now sport a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Urbandale for a non-league battle on Wednesday, June 8. Southeast Polk will meet a J-Hawks squad coming off a 8-3 non-league win over Winterset (Winterset, IA). The J-Hawks record now stands at 1-0.
