Middlebury Tigers (Middlebury, VT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Hartford Hurricanes (White River Junction, VT), 14-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lyndon Institute for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, June 7. Middlebury will face a Vikings squad coming off a 12-1 non-league win over Milton (Milton, VT). The Vikings record now stands at 17-0.

With the loss, Hartford falls to 11-7 on the campaign.
