In Tuesday's non-league game, the host Benton Bobcats baseball team scored a tight 8-4 victory over the Monticello Panthers.
The Bobcats (12-4) will now prepare for their game against Regina (Iowa City, IA). The Regals go into the non-league game with a 9-6 record. In their last game, Regina tipped Lisbon (Lisbon, IA), 16-8, in a non-league game.
The Panthers (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Cascade (Cascade, IA). The Cougars go into the non-league game with a 1-3 record.
