Ashland Hornets (Ashland, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lee Academy Pandas (Lee, ME), 17-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hodgdon for a non-league challenge on Thursday, June 6. Ashland will battle a Hawks squad coming off a 5-3 league win over Katahdin (Sherman Station, ME). The Hawks record now stands at 10-4.

With the loss, Lee Academy falls to 3-9 on the campaign.
