Jonesport-Beals Royals (Jonesport, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Wisdom Pioneers (St. Agatha, ME), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Royals now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southern Aroostook for a non-league challenge on Thursday, June 6. Jonesport-Beals will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 22-1 league win over Ashland (Ashland, ME). The Warriors record now stands at 11-3.

With the loss, Wisdom falls to 11-4 on the campaign.
