The Pope John XXIII baseball team scored 6 runs and held the host Morristown-Beard Crimson to 3 in the non-league win on Wednesday.
The now hold a 11-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Montclair Kimberley Academy for a non-league test on Friday, June 6. Pope John XXIII will play a Cougars team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over St. Thomas Aquinas (Edison, NJ). The Cougars record now stands at 16-5.
With the defeat, Morristown-Beard drops to 18-8 on the year.
