In Wednesday's league game, the visiting Sigourney Savages baseball team scored a close 16-10 victory over the North Mahaska Warhawks.

The Savages (7-0) will now prepare for their game against Davis County (Bloomfield, IA). The Mustangs enter the non-league game with a 5-5 record. In their last game, Davis County held off Clarke (Osceola, IA), 8-0, in a league game.

Next up, the Warhawks encounter the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks (Colfax, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar bout, on Thursday, June 5. North Mahaska will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Tigerhawks enter the bout with a 1-4 record after their 14-1 league win over English Valleys (North English, IA).
