The Columbus Sailors softball team scored 14 runs and limited the host AGWSR Cougars to 3 in the Sailors non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Columbus upgrades its record to 1-5 on the year. The Sailors host Crestwood (Cresco, IA) to play the Cadets in a non-league game on Thursday, June 5. The Cadets enter the game with a record of 4-0. Crestwood won 13-5 in their recent league game against Waukon (Waukon, IA)

The Cougars now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they host South Hardin for a North Iowa Cedar - West game on Thursday, June 5. AGWSR will play a Tigers squad coming off a 11-3 non-league win over Union (La Porte City, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 2-5.
