The Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougars softball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons to 1 in the Cougars non-league win on Wednesday.
The Cougars now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wapsie Valley for a North Iowa Cedar - East battle on Thursday, June 5.
With the loss, Aplington-Parkersburg moves to 0-3 on the season. The Falcons host Dike-New Hartford (Dike, IA) to confront the Wolverines in a North Iowa Cedar - Central battle on Thursday, June 5. The Wolverines come into the battle with a record of 1-2.
